I'm New

Welcome to Hicks Memorial UMC! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our faith community. There is a place for you at Hicks to celebrate the love of God in worship whether you prefer the majestic sounds of a pipe organ and chancel choir at our 8:00am Traditional service, the melodic acoustic sound at our 9:30am Center Service, or the upbeat rhythms of drums and electric guitar at our 11:00am Contemporary Service.

No matter which service you attend you will experience a warm, inviting atmosphere where you will be greeted with a smile, a handshake, and a friendly welcome. We are known as a welcoming, loving group of worshipers that quickly make you feel like you’ve always been a part of our church family.

The children and youth experiences at Hicks UMC are designed uniquely for children of all ages and grades. Our fully staffed nursery provides care for children ages 6 months to age 3. Children’s Church is designed for children ages 3 years through 6th grade. We also have a class for Jr.& Sr. High students in 7th-12th grade during our 9:30 Center Service. No matter what age, your child will experience age-appropriate teaching and activities all created to point your child toward a real relationship with Jesus.

You can park anywhere in the Hicks UMC Parking Lots. We have ample on-site parking on our adjacent 3rd Avenue lot and behind the building - enter the parking lots off of 3rd Avenue. Exit the lower lots from 12th street.

In addition to the front door entrances on 3rd Avenue there are entrances from the parking lots behind the building. The double glass doors located in the back of the building are used by most; simply walk up the back stairs and you will enter our Sanctuary where a greeter will hand you a weekly bulletin. If you are visiting us for the first time let us know and our greeter can help answer any questions you might have.

  • There is an elevator that provides access to both the Social Hall and Sanctuary
  • Handicapped parking spaces are provided
  • There are accessible rest rooms on both floors of the Church Building
